The City of Greater Geelong through the Economic Development Unit offers a diverse range of services to business and industry that have an interest in investment or expansion within Geelong.

Economic Development Strategy
Economic Development is a priority area for the City of Greater Geelong and in late 2005 the City published its Geelong Economic Development Strategy to enable greater focus on pursuing initiatives that promote maximum investment and employment growth in Geelong.

Geelong Development Board
The City of Greater Geelong has established a Geelong Development Board to provide expertise and advice about development within the Region.  The Board consists of people from the business community with skills and expertise in a number of areas including manufacturing, research, tourism, commerce, health and education.  Board members are avaiable to share their knowledge, expertise and networks with new, relocating or expanding businesses wishing to learn more about our region.


Regional Taskforces
The Economic Development Unit also facilitates two industry-based taskforces in Biotechnology and Seafood as well as participating on a range of other industry specific groups such as the Geelong Region Alliance (G21), Geelong Manufacturing Council, the Geelong Business Network and the SmartGeelong Network.
