The team, which includes specialist nurses and child health workers, has expertise in normal development and behaviour of children aged 0 - 6 yrs.
Specialist nurses with expertise in maternal and child health carry out health and development reviews to assist with the early recognition and treatment of any problems which may affect a child's progress. The team also includes Child Health Workers with experience in normal development and behaviour of preschool children.

Health and development reviewsReviews are recommended at or near the ages of 2, 4 and 8 weeks; 4, 8, 12 and 18 months; 2 and 3 1/2 years. Please make appointments in advance and read the relevant part of the yellow Child Health Record.
New parent groupsFirst time parents are invited to attend new parents groups. These groups aim to provide opportunities to share ideas, establish friendships and gain educational information.
Teenage parentsTeenage parents can be assisted through the Enhanced Home Visiting Service. Telephone (03) 5227 0760 for details.
Baby weighingWhen the centre is open, parents are welcome to weigh their own baby on the scales in the baby change area.
