The Regional Parenting Service is committed to improving the level of parenting skills in the community by ensuring that parents have access to high quality parenting information and support.
- Promoting and enhancing parenting and parent education
- Identifying service gaps
- Providing parenting information to families, professionals and other interested community workers
- Assisting organisations to conduct parenting and parent education activities by providing facilitators and/or financial support
- Identification of parenting resources and programs available across the region
- Developing and supporting networks between organisations involved with families
- Improving links between the community and organisations providing parental support
- Conducting programs and workshops for schools, community groups and the general public throughout the Barwon South Western Region.
Monthly Parenting Article - see the Parenting Information Sheets link above. A short parenting article emailed or faxed to all interested parties for display on community notice boards, reproduction in newsletters etc. Please let us know if you wish to receive this fax/email.
Calendar of Events - outlines parent education activities being conducted in the Barwon South Western Region. The calendar is emailed to subscribers on a quarterly basis. Please let us know if you wish to receive the Calendar.
