Maintenance
Enquiries relating to general maintenance of kerb and channel eg. holes, rough surface, lifted or broken slabs, dislodged or loose bricks, weeds growing through kerb and channel, etc. should be referred to the Infrastructure Operations Unit on (03) 5227 0530.
Enquiries relating to kerb and channel with extensive damage over long lengths should be referred to Engineering Services on (03) 5227 0356.
New kerbs
If the kerb and channel has been damaged by Builders/Contractors refer your enquiry to Subdivision's Unit on (03) 5227 0427 as this relates to Building Site Access.
Enquires relating to the provision of new kerb and channel where there is none should be referred to Infrastructure - Engineering Services on (03) 5227 0356.
Reinstatement
Prior to any kerb and channel being cut, lifted or removed by a privately engaged contractor or by a resident, a site-specific road-opening permit must be obtained either from one of the Customer Service Centre's or the Subdivisions department located in the Myers Street Offices.
Council will reinstate the kerb and channel upon notification that the works have been completed, however, any queries or concerns relating to kerb and channel sections requiring reinstatement should be directed to Infrastructure Operations by phoning (03) 5227 0530.
