Maintenance
Enquires relating to the maintenance of both sealed and unsealed roads, including road shoulders and fire access roads are to be referred to Infrastructure Operations on (03) 5227 0530.
(All access roads in National Parks are the responsibility of Parks Victoria phone136 186 and all State Highways, and Declared Main Roads are Vic Roads responsibility.)

Road Sealing
Enquires as to when a gravel road is going to be sealed are to be referred to City Services - Engineering Services on (03) 5227 0356.
Road and Footpath Reinstatements
Requests or complaints regarding openings in footpaths and road surfaces, that have been carried out by plumbers or Public Authorities such as Barwon Water, Telstra, Powercor, are to be referred to City Services - Operations on (03) 5227 0530.
Usually the plumber or Public Authority notifies Council when their work is complete and is ready for re-instatement.
Laneway Maintenance
Enquiries relating to the maintenance of laneways (either "made" or "unmade" laneways).
Some unmade laneways are not Council's responsibility to maintain, however, please call to (03) 5227 0530 and they will determine responsibility and respond accordingly.

Dust Suppression
Dust suppression is carried out on nominated unmade roads once per year. Enquires to have specific roads considered for inclusion in the program may be made to City Services - Engineering Services on (03) 5227 0356.
Roads to Recovery
The program commenced in February 2001 and provides additional funding for road construction and maintenance over several years as follows:
- 2000/01 - Additional $1.05m
- 2001/02 - Additional $2.10m
- 2002/03 - Additional $1.40m 2003/04 - Additional $2.10m
- 2004/05 - Additional $1.75m.
Works carried out to date and proposed for the remainder of the program are a balance between maintenance and reconstruction, generally concentrating on the rural areas and smaller towns throughout the City. Part of the requirement for the funding is the placement of signs on approaches to projects indicating the source of funding. These signs must be placed prior to the project commencing and must remain in place for two years after the project is completed.

Street furniture
Enquiries relating to the maintenance of street furniture, for example Guard Rails, Bus Stops/Shelters, Bicycle Racks, Street Tree Guards, Fencing, Litter Bins, Flag Poles, Drinking Fountains, Water fountains, Retaining Walls, Memorials and Public Seating should be referred to City Services - Operations on (03) 5227 0530 .
Enquiries relating to the installation of new Street Furniture are to be referred to City Services - Engineering Services on (03) 5227 0348 .
Unmade roads
