The Geelong Botanic Gardens is available for event bookings during normal operating hours:

Booking Details
Applications for the use of the Geelong Botanic Gardens for a wedding ceremony, naming ceremony, photographic session or cinematography session must be through lodging a completed Booking Application Form. - After receipt of the Application and Booking Fee a permit confirming all details is sent to the applicant.
- Tentative Bookings are not accepted.
- Any cancellations or changes submitted must be conveyed to the Booking Officer at least 10 workings days prior to the booking date.
- Booking fees will not be refunded if a cancellation is not notified at least 10 working days prior to the booking date.
- Booking fees will not be refunded in the case of inclement weather effecting the event.
- Vehicles access to the gardens is not permitted. Vehicles are to be parked in the designated car parking areas and must not prohibit access to the main gates.
- No marquees, barricades, tents are to be erected or placed in the gardens.
- The provision of a table and chairs for the signing of the marriage or naming documents is permitted. Additional chairs or tables are permitted for older citizens and people with disabilities, chairs should however be kept to a minimum.
- Only acoustic instruments or battery-powered tape recorders to play background music are permitted providing sound levels are kept to a level that does not disturb other users of the Gardens (72 decibels).
- All litter generated by the event is to be removed from the Gardens at the conclusion of the event.
- General public access must be maintained, as the Botanic Gardens are Public Open Space.
- Only the sites specified on the Gardens Map can be booked for Wedding or Naming Ceremonies. A booked site will be allocated for a two-hour block.
- The Cabman's Shelter and Conservatory are not to be used for wedding or naming ceremonies.
- Wedding or naming ceremony bookings may also use the Gardens for photographs at no extra cost
- Confetti and rice are not permitted. Flower petals and dried flowers are allowed.
Photographic or Cinematography Sessions
Individuals or groups using the Gardens for photographic or filming sessions are allowed access to any part of the garden on the day of the booking except for those sites booked for ceremonies for the duration of the ceremony.
