Ask Us Anything: Gas and Electrification

Wednesday 10 June 2026 from 6:00pm

Geelong
Ask Us Anything - Gas and Electrification flyer

Join us for an informative evening exploring the role of gas and electrification in Geelong and Victoria’s future. Whether you’re curious, concerned, or just want straight answers, this is your chance to hear directly from the experts in a fun and engaging setting.

Inspired by the ABC's “You Can’t Ask That” format, this event creates a safe space where no question is off-limits. Community-submitted questions will be read aloud and answered live by a panel of experts, followed by a discussion and an opportunity to connect with others.

Experts include:
1. Jay Gordon, Energy Finance Analyst at IEEFA
2. Dr Kat Lucas-Healey, Senior Climate & Energy Advisor at Environment Victoria.
3. Rory Anderson, Policy Advisor for Energy & Cost of Living at Victorian Council of Social Service.
4. Seung Baek, Chair of the Victorian branch of Doctors for the Environment.

Have a question you’ve always wanted to ask? Something you have always been wondering, or felt silly to ask? This is your chance to get your difficult questions answered. Submit your question when you register- whether it’s about gas cooking, energy bills, or what options exist for renters.

This event is hosted by Geelong Renewables Not Gas, an alliance led by the Australian Conservation Foundation, Geelong Sustainability, and Environment Victoria, in partnership with Geelong Regional Libraries.

We hope to see you there for a night of honest conversations, practical insights, and community connection.
