Seaview Grassland Reserve is pretty special. It's one of the few remaining native grasslands in the Geelong region and home to birds, butterflies, marbled geckos and blue tongue lizards.

Seaview Grassland Reserve - National Tree Day Planting
26 July 2026

Partnering with the Geelong Field Naturalist Club the City of Greater Geelong is undertaking restoration works to remove invasive weeds, plant back native species and connect with the community.
Join us on National Tree Day 2026 with other like-minded community members to re-instate native grasses and wildflowers into the reserve to help our native wildlife and pollinators.
Limited parking is located at the end of East View Parade and Seaview Parade. The reserve can also be accessed via the Barwon River trail heading south over the John Macintyre footbridge.
Please note the site is quite steep, sturdy shoes and warm clothes are recommended. BYO garden gloves and drinking water.
This project is proudly supported by Landcare Australia's Healthy Cities Grant, funded by Bupa
