Regional community park. Located on the banks of the Barwon River, Barwon Valley Fun Park mixes play equipment with delightful scenery and wide-open spaces and is perfect for casual recreational activity. With BBQs, picnic facilities and large areas of shade, it is the perfect place to visit with the whole family. 

A popular location for birthday BBQ's, with three public BBQ's, toilets and shade this is a much-loved family weekend destination. 

There is a toddler area with a low to the ground play structure with slide, block steps and abacus, fish springer, skateboard springer, surfboard springer, police cars springer, train springer, wood chip play table, spinning disk and small standard play structure with spiral slide, steps and ladder.

Dogs on leash. Dogs are to be controlled on leash in all public spaces unless otherwise signed. Dogs are prohibited from being within 10 metres of a playground or BBQ.  On leash in surrounding areas. Penalties apply.

Disc Golf Course

 Barwon Valley Fun Park, home to Geelong’s first public Disc Golf course, has officially unveiled its latest upgrade, marking a new chapter for the city’s growing Disc Golf community.

Originally installed in late 2013 with nine baskets and nine tees, the course has now expanded to a full 18-hole layout. Disc Golf is celebrated for its inclusivity and affordability, with simple rules and starter packs available to suit all income levels. The Barwon Valley course remains open to the public 24/7, ensuring that everyone in the Geelong community has the opportunity to participate. Geelong Disc Golf Club is Victoria’s oldest Disc Golf Club , underscoring the community’s enthusiasm for this inclusive and accessible sport.

Barwon Valley Outdoor Gym

State of the art fitness equipment catering to a range of ages and abilities. Multiple resistance settings and equipment targeting
different body parts for a full body workout! Featuring Acti’Street Design for thrill-seeking teenagers, Parkour is an activity that can be practiced alone or with others. Users navigate by movement around, across, though, over and under features. The structure encourages users to push themselves to the limit and set competitive challenges with their friends,
and is ideal for inclusion in any sports or play area.
