The Greater Geelong community values

Success will be achieved by
- A pedestrian and cycling network that covers the whole municipality;
- Accessible transport options connecting people within the city-region;
- Development of Greater Geelong as Victoria’s major logistics and freight centre;
- Diversion of road traffic around urban centres;
- Cycling becomes a credible and safe on-road commuter option.
New program of works
The City of Greater Geelong is informing the public that the planned works at stages 4 & 5 will commence on 1st September 2025.
The works on Ghazeepore Road and Rossack Drive will not coincide with each other.
The project is funded by the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Program / Local Roads Community Infrastructure Program and will include:
- road pavement rehabilitation
- kerb and channel upgrades
- driveway upgrades
- reflective pavement markers and line marking upgrades
This program supports local government through construction and maintenance of our local road network which improves accessibility and safety.
