Planning Register

Under section 49 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 the responsible authority must keep a register containing the prescribed information of:

  1. all applications for permits; and
  2. all decisions and determinations relating to permits.

In addition to the Planning and Environment Act, Council as the responsible authority must comply with the requirements of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014, which applies to personal information held on the responsible authority’s public register.

Planning fees are regulated under the Planning and Environment (Fees) Regulations 2016 and are GST free.
