Withdraw a planning permit application
If you feel this is the action you should take you will need to:
- Contact the Planner who is administering your Planning Permit to discuss this in more detail as well as any alternatives
- Write to us to advise that you wish to withdraw your Planning Permit Application if you still wish to take this action making sure to include:
- applicant details
- permit number.
We cannot withdraw a Planning Permit after a decision has been made.
The refund offered is dependant on what stage the application has reached.
Withdrawal of application:
- prior to further information request - 50 percent refund
- after further information request - Nil.
Important:
Refunds can only be issued to the original payer – the individual or company that made the payment. If you are acting on behalf of a client, you will need to coordinate the refund with them once the funds have been returned to your account.
To avoid delays, please ensure that the details of the original payer (debtor) are accurate and clearly provided when submitting your request. Refunds are processed on a monthly cycle, so it may take approximately 6–8 weeks to be finalised.
