There are many nature volunteer groups and environmental networks active in the Greater Geelong area.

The purpose of this page is to explain the difference between nature volunteer groups and networks, list the many groups operating in the region and share their contact details. 

Nature volunteer groups

The following nature volunteer groups operate on City-owned reserves. If you would like to become a nature volunteer, these groups are a great place to start.

Environmental networks

Environmental networks are community-based organisations with paid staff who offer support to like-minded groups, including nature volunteer groups. 

By joining, or being under the auspice of a network, nature volunteer groups can access additional insurance cover. Unincorporated groups can also join environmental networks.
