Australian Citizenship Ceremonies

The City of Greater Geelong is proud to host local Australian Citizenship Ceremonies for applicants who have been approved and allocated to a ceremony by the Department of Home Affairs.

The Department of Home Affairs is responsible for administrating the Australian citizenship process, including:

• citizenship applications
• application approvals
• ceremony allocations
• citizenship status enquiries

Citizenship Ceremonies 

Choosing to become an Australian citizen is an important commitment and a meaningful milestone. Citizenship ceremonies are a special opportunity to welcome conferees as Australian citizens, as they make the pledge of commitment and receive their citizenship certificate.
