Grant to support minor capital works and the initiation, development and delivery of projects that enhance our natural environment, and drive environmental sustainability actions across the Geelong region.

What's changed?

Landowners or authorised managers are no longer eligible to apply to this grant.
 
This change does not preclude community-led organisations partnering with landholders for a project.

The equipment category has been removed. There is now a stand-alone Community Equipment Grant.

To confirm the eligibility of your organisation and activity, please read the grant guidelines before applying.

Who can apply?

To apply for this grant, you must be one of the following:

  • incorporated not-for-profit organisation
  • unincorporated group with an auspice
  • registered charitable organisation
  • school or learning institution (only for non-curriculum-based activities that primarily benefit the wider community).

What can you apply for?

Projects and minor environmental capital works, deigned to deliver on the goals of the City's Environment Strategy 2020-30 to:

  • Become a zero-emission, climate-ready city
  • Create greener community spaces
  • Protect, enhance and restore our region’s biodiversity
  • Achieve better integrated water management through planning and design

How much can you apply for?

There is a total grant pool of $70,000 available.

Capital works - applicants may ask for up to $10,000 

Projects - applicants may ask for up to $10,000 

For capital works above $10,000, applicants are advised to apply for a Community Infrastructure Grant.
