Australian Pride Network curates a comprehensive list of LGBTQIA+ festivals and events across the country. Geelong hosts and celebrates a range of LGBTQIA+ events throughout the year:
Geelong Rainbow Festival
Held in February, organised by Geelong Rainbow, celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community.
Geelong Pride Film Festival
Held in April/May, organised by the Geelong Pride Film Festival Committee, showcasing stories from LGBTQIA+ voices.
IDAHOBIT Event
Held in May, organised by the City of Greater Geelong, marking the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia.
Wear It Purple Day
Held in August, organised by the City of Greater Geelong, supporting LGBTQIA+ young people and promoting safe, inclusive spaces.
