CALD Outreach Program - For Families

Did You Know:

• All children can attend two years of kindergarten before they start school. They usually start when they are three years old. 

• 15 hours Kindergarten per week is low cost or free for families. 

• To find your closest kindergarten or early years service visit www.findakinder.vic.gov.au

• Enrolments for 2027 Kindergarten programs is open now. 

We can help you: 

• Enrol in kindergarten. 

• Find out information about other early childhood services.

CALD Outreach Program - For Services

The program provides support for families by: 

• Increasing understanding of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep.

 • Linking families to kindergartens and other early childhood services in their local area.

 • Identifying barriers for kindergarten participation and helping to maximise attendance and participation. 
 

We can support Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services by: 

• Providing advice and support to build the capacity of staff to engage multicultural families.

 • Assisting services to use All Graduates, the free interpreting service that is available to all funded kindergarten services. 

• Promoting and sharing translated resources. 

• Working with services to identify and remove barriers and engage multicultural families.
