The 2025 Youth Survey was undertaken to better understand the experiences, needs and priorities of young people aged 12-25 across Greater Geelong.

This is the first time the City has delivered a comprehensive youth-focused survey at this scale, recognising young people as a historically underrepresented group in council engagements.

Over 3,500 people participated across three tailored surveys: young people, parents/carers and community members, and staff from educational institutions.

The insights collected will guide youth development service delivery and support a coordinated, evidence-based approach to working with young people.
