We have a legislated responsibility to appoint a Municipal Emergency Management Officer (MEMO) who will coordinate our planning for, and response to, emergencies within the City of Greater Geelong.
We have appointed the Coordinator, Emergency Management and Fire Prevention as the MEMO.
This person's role is to coordinate the planning and response to emergencies to minimise the consequences of that event on our residents.
