Apply for a disabled parking permit

The Victorian Government has made changes to disability parking to create an easier and fairer system for all by introducing a new disability parking permit scheme known as the Accessible Parking Permit (APP) Scheme.

Individual applicant – renewing or applying for a new permit

  1. Start your application online
  2. You'll receive an application reference number via SMS*
  3. Take your reference number to your GP or occupational therapist
    Your GP or occupational therapist will complete an online assessment via this link and submit your application
  4. Geelong City Council will review the application
  5. If your application is successful you'll receive your permit in the mail within 10 - 15 business days which is issued by Vic Roads.

Organisation – Applying for a new permit

  1. Start your application online
  2. You'll receive an application reference number via SMS and email
  3. Geelong City Council will review the application
  4. If your application is successful you'll pick up your permit at the council within 10 - 15 business days.
