Eastern Beach Reserve and Aquatic Precinct is a Regional community park. Eastern Beach Reserve and Aquatic Precinct is located on the City's waterfront, and is scattered with the renowned Bay Walk Bollards.

The scenic reserve features picnic facilities, playgrounds and a shark-proof sea bath surrounded by the historical art-deco-style boardwalk.

Built during the 1930s, the sea bath encompasses floating islands and is dominated by a large diving tower. The picturesque reserve is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months and is an essential location for the whole family to visit when in Geelong.

The Diving Tower operates seasonally, with lifeguard supervision provided by Life Saving Victoria between November and April.  The Children’s Pool is open 24/7, with lifeguard supervision provided by Life Saving Victoria between November and April.

Before visiting we encourage parent/guardians to be educated about adequate supervision when visiting a public aquatic facility.

Parents/guardians must actively supervise children under 10, remain distraction-free, and accompany children under 5 in the water.

All City’s aquatic facilities follow the Watch Around Water program, promoting safe supervision of children. For further information visit Watch Around Water - Life Saving Victoria.

Latest updates

  • On occasion the pool is closed to public on short notice when immediate plant operations require maintenance or chemical dosing is required to maintain safe swimming levels. A sign stating 'closed for maintenance' is placed at the entrance in these instances and staff are on site actively working on the problem. We thank you for your patience while the staff work to get the plant operational and the pool within regulation as soon as possible.
