District sporting reserve. The Portarlington Recreation Reserve is a scenic sports reserve located right near the Portarlington waterfront. The large reserve that sits adjacent to the flora and fauna reserve boasts two ovals with hard wickets, tennis and netball courts, fire brigade running track, pony club, cross country course and social facilities. 

The reserve is home to the Portarlington Sports Club, the Portarlington Urban Fire Brigade and the Bellarine Agricultural Show.
