In the 18th century, music was often compared to eloquent speech. A great performer was expected not merely to play the notes, but to persuade the listener – to stir the emotions, awaken the imagination and move the heart.

Greg Dikmans, playing the baroque flute and Samantha Cohen playing the theorbo (lute), are passionate about historical performance. They will perform works by J.S Bach, Sylvius Leopold Weiss and C.P.E. Bach.
