Geelong Coin Collectors' Club Coin and Banknote Workshops

This event will run a series of workshops across the day. People can attend one workshop or many.
Workshops will focus on:
- How do I start?
- I have a pile of coins. What do I do?
- I collect all of the special coins in my change – are they worth anything?
- Equal Ballot – how does this work?
- Where can I buy coins?
- I have coins and banknotes that I want to sell – where do I go?
- How do I safely store currency?
- Loose coins, Mint Sets, Proof Sets, Graded Coins, Uncirculated coins – what is the difference?
- Recognition of Indigenous Australians and Torres Strait Islanders contributions to the history of Australia’s currency.
- Key Decimal Australian coins and banknotes.
- Key Pre-Decimal Australian coins and banknotes.
- Cataloguing World coins.
- Stewart Devil and his contribution to Australian Currency.
- A focus on different values of currency and the collection of notes.
Opportunities to purchase coins, banknotes and accessories.
