Guided Forest Therapy Walk
4th Saturday of the month

Are you stressed? Anxious? Burned out? Are you feeling a need to get out in nature and back to yourself?
A Guided Forest Therapy Walk is just what you need!
Hi! I'm Melanie. I'm an INFTA-certified and accredited Forest Therapy Guide. Join me for an immersive and relaxing experience in nature.
Inspired by the Japanese practice of 'Shinrin-yoku,' Forest Therapy is an internationally recognised and evidence based Public Health practice. It is the practice of immersing oneself in nature using all of our senses through mindfulness and sensory activities.
During this 2 hour guided walk, we will swap our "screen time for green time" and move slowly and mindfully through the beautiful Geelong Botanic Gardens and allow ourselves to truly experience natures healing benefits.
Forest Therapy has numerous scientifically proven health benefits, including:
- lower blood pressure
- lower levels of anxiety
- lower levels of the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline
- an increase in tumour fighting blood cells (Natural Killer cells)
- exposure to anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-viral compounds
Put your health and well-being first. Come along and give Forest Therapy a try.
