Safe community BBQ for youth

The Gtown Cookout, hosted by Nyaliep and Auemn, is a community-focused event created to bring young people and the wider Geelong community together for a fun, welcoming and positive day.

Both organisers have established youth networks through personal content creation, social media and community involvement, allowing us to connect with young people, creatives and community members.

The event will include a community BBQ, food and drinks, music, live performances, talent shows, networking, fun activities and cash prizes, with potential guest appearances from local creatives and performers.

Our goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where young people can make new connections, express their creativity, showcase their talents and discover new opportunities. The Gtown Cookout is about bringing the community together, supporting local talent and creating positive experiences for Geelong’s youth.
