Better Boating Victoria has commissioned an upgrade of the Avalon Beach Boat Ramp which will make the facility easier to use for recreational boaters.

The ramp will close as of Wednesday 14 June 2023 to allow the construction works to take place with an expected re-opening in October 2023.

The works will deliver:

• upgrades to the main car park including new asphalting and line marking
• upgrades to the overflow parking area to provide formal parking
• upgrades to the two existing jetties including extending and re-configuration to improve berthing capacity and wave attenuation and
• protection of nearby native vegetation and management of stormwater run-off.
