Dive into free water safety fun these school holidays

Open to children aged five and over, the program offers fun and practical sessions designed to improve water awareness, confidence and safety skills.
Sessions will run across both weeks of the school holidays and are free for non-members and active Webstar's Swim School members.
The initiative comes ahead of National Drowning Prevention Day on 25 July, a global campaign led by Royal Life Saving Australia that promotes water safety and preparedness all year round.
The program encourages families to stay connected to swimming through winter and helps children develop skills that can support a lifetime of safe enjoyment in and around water.
Active Webstar's Swim School members can also enjoy free access to water slides at Norlane ARC, Splashdown and Leisurelink throughout the school holidays.
Greater Geelong Deputy Mayor Eddy Kontelj
Water safety starts long before summer arrives. These free sessions give families the chance to build confidence in the water, learn important safety skills and stay active during winter.
We're proud to offer programs that are fun, accessible and help children develop skills that can stay with them for life.
Health portfolio chair Councillor Rowan Story AM, RFD
The school holidays are a great time for kids to try something new, have fun with their friends and family, and build their confidence in the water.
Swimming lessons are an important investment. They help families make safe decisions around water and develop skills that could one day save a life.
Webstar's Swim School has also launched a two-week free promotion to encourage new swimmers to begin their swimming journey and learn a skill for life. The offer is available until Sunday 12 July and is open to new members of all ages.
School holiday sessions will run from 29 June to 3 July and 6 July to 10 July. Places are limited and bookings are required through the Perfect Gym client portal.
