The City of Greater Geelong will continue to monitor weather forecasts and work with authorities to respond to flash flooding and its impacts.

Please remember that floodwater is dangerous – stay safe by never driving, walking or cycling through floodwaters.

In the event of flooding, please follow detour signs and avoid any non-essential travel.

Never drive, walk or ride through flood water, even if a road is not closed. The water could be deeper than expected and the road surface may be damaged underneath.

Facilities 

Waterworld in Norlane remains closed today as we clean up after yesterday's flooding.

Members of the public are asked to avoid using walking and cycling tracks, public reserves, and recreational areas around the river until water recedes and the area can be cleaned up.

• Raise any valuable items off the ground in low lying areas
