Enterprise Monkey was recognised for its groundbreaking “Agents for Humanity” project, which encourages humans and collaborative AI agents to work together to solve complex humanitarian and global challenges.

Earlier this week, Mayor Kontelj was briefed by Enterprise Monkey founder Aamir Qutub, alongside local collaborators Steve Berg and Scott Brown, on their AI Humanitarian platform and the Agents for Humanity initiative.

Mayor Stretch Kontelj OAM:

This achievement is yet another example of Geelong’s commitment to innovation.

Enterprise Monkey’s success shows the world that Geelong is a place where we can find clever solutions to complex global challenges.

I had the opportunity to see firsthand the capability they have developed – to see this level of innovation being driven from Geelong and now recognised on the global stage is an outstanding achievement.

I’m also proud of the work we’re doing at the City to create this culture of innovation, which is driving economic growth and new ideas across the region.

The AI Humanitarian platform is a deeply personal project for Mr Qutub, inspired by a request from his father to create opportunities for young girls in India who lack access to education.

Aamir Qutub:

My father challenged me to find a way to help young girls gain skills that could provide them with an income and a pathway forward.

That idea stayed with me and became the foundation of this work.

We’ve designed the platform to reflect real social and cultural contexts, ensuring the solutions are practical, accessible and meaningful for the communities they are intended to support.

Agents for Humanity is about combining human creativity with AI collaboration to solve challenges that are too complex for any one approach alone.

To take something built in Geelong to a global audience reinforces that purpose-driven innovation can come from anywhere and make a real difference.

Aamir Qutub, Steve Berg and Scott Brown will present their idea in Geneva later this month.
