The Yirrama Community Hub, located on the corner of Amber Avenue and Precinct Road, is being purpose-built to support early years services and community programs for people of all ages.

Construction commenced in June 2025 and is on track to open at the start of 2027.

The hub will offer modern, flexible spaces to ensure the facility can grow and change with the community’s needs over time.

It will feature four kindergarten rooms with 132 places, maternal and child health services, allied health, and multi-purpose community spaces.

The hub is conveniently co-located with the new Yirrama Primary School, offering families a single drop-off point.

The hub draws on the Wadawurrung story of Parrwang, the magpie, to create a space that reflects a strong connection to culture, care, and community.

This narrative has been implemented in consultation with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners to acknowledge and embed cultural knowledge into the facility.

The project is jointly funded by the City and the Victorian Government.

Following an open Expressions of Interest process, Meli Kindergarten Services has been appointed to operate the Yirrama Community Hub.

Meli is a well-established early years provider based in the Barwon region and already delivers 32 kindergarten services across the City of Greater Geelong, Borough of Queenscliffe and Colac Otway Shire.
