Quick Response Grants to boost 2026 community events

Applications are now open for the Community Events Quick Response Grants providing support for public events with external bidding deadlines needing early funding approval or responding to emerging community needs.

Events must be held within Greater Geelong be open to the public and expect at least 300 attendees. Eligible expenses include venue hire contractors security and event equipment or infrastructure.

These grants give organisers the flexibility to move ahead with their plans without waiting for the main annual funding round.

They’re designed to support events that celebrate local talent strengthen community connection and contribute to the vibrancy of our region.

If you have an idea that will benefit the community now is the time to apply.

Applications close on 31 May 2026 with applicants notified within six to eight weeks of submitting. Funding will be offered on a first-in first-served basis to eligible applicants until the closing date or until all funds have been allocated.
