Head to the Potato Shed Thursday 7 March and step back in time to 1946 with The Sunshine Club, an acclaimed musical that shines a spotlight on the resilience, hope, and joy of post-war Australia.

Written and directed by proud Noonuccal Nuugi man Wesley Enoch AM, The Sunshine Club is a thought-provoking performance that explores the enduring power of community and the universal desire for a brighter future.

Set in Brisbane, the musical follows the journey of Aboriginal soldier Frank Doyle, returning home from World War II to a city where prejudice and discrimination still loom large.

Undeterred, Frank is determined to create positive change by establishing The Sunshine Club, a place where people from all walks of life can come together to laugh, love, and dance the night away.

Heralded as a "brilliant new landmark in Australian musicals" by The Australian, The Sunshine Club features an energetic and engaging score with 28 original songs composed by John Rodgers.

The production boasts a talented cast of 11, including emerging and established First Nations artists, accompanied by a dynamic 5-piece live band.
