North Shore has a small residential area and a few neighbourhood shops. There is a Presbyterian church and a Missions to Seamen building. 

Beginning at Moorpanyal park which has a playground and barbecue area a bay walk traverses the shore between the industry and Corio Bay. 

Houses along the Esplanade enjoy some of the best views of Corio Bay and the city.
