Come and spend some magical time at the beautifully restored Carousel at the Geelong Waterfront.

Step back in time at the Carousel. A timeless treasure on the Geelong Waterfront!
Discover the charm of the Carousel, an original Armitage-Herschell steam-driven, hand-carved wooden carousel built around 1892. As one of only 200 still in operation worldwide, it features 36 beautifully crafted Dare horses and two ornate chariots, offering a nostalgic experience for visitors of all ages.
Situated in the heart of the waterfront precinct, The Carousel has become a popular meeting place and a must-visit tourist destination for all ages. Whether you're a local or a visitor, it promises a delightful journey through history and community spirit.
The purpose-built lift for the venue is not operational and Council is in the process of commissioning a lift that will meet the diverse needs of our community. This is a priority project, and we will provide updates on our progress.
We apologise that not all of our community are able to enjoy the Carousel at this present time
