The role of the Customer Contact Centre is to answer the bulk of the incoming calls in a positive and informative manner, attempt to resolve queries and refer them to appropriate departments within the City of Greater Geelong.
The Customer Contact Centre assists residents of Geelong and employees with their general telephone enquiries.
An after-hours service is also provided for matters of an urgent nature such as fallen trees, flooding, road damage or break–ins at council properties, including our halls.
The after-hours provider will refer matters requiring immediate attention to the City’s on-call staff or relevant contractor.
In all other reports, the customer is asked to call back during working hours. We don’t take non urgent reports or record customer details.
