Part II of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Act) section 7 requires Council to publish certain information our functions and operations.

As part of these statements Council publishes a list with categories of documents that we possess. 

Council will proactively release or make available information that is of interest to the community.

The Part II statement shows  the types of information that can be requested and may reduce the need for a formal Freedom of Information Request.

The Part II statement improves openness transparency and accountability. It provides the community with the information needed to identify specific documents of interest and how to apply for access to these documents.
