In 2025, the City will be planting 2,400 street and park trees. To give newly planted trees the best chance of survival, planting occurs annually between May and September. We’re pleased to announce that this year’s planting program has officially commenced.

So far, 1,058 planting sites have been identified and will be completed by the end of the financial year. Approximately 50% of these plantings were requested by residents, with the remainder identified through our proactive planting efforts.

We will continue to expand the program and plant an additional 1,400 trees by September.
