Excursion to City Hall - Years 3 - 4

The excursion to City Hall is designed to meet the aims of the Victorian curriculum, Civics and Citizenship.

The City Hall excursion for students in years 3 and 4 will assist students to understand:

  • The role of local government and some services performed by local government.
  • How and why decisions are made democratically in communities.
  • Distinction between rules and laws.
  • How people participate in the community as active citizens.
