Where to get information in emergencies

In an emergency, it is important to stay informed.

There are a number of places where you can find information to assist you in emergencies.

Life-threatening emergencies

Call triple zero (000) for police, fire or ambulance.

For flood and storm emergencies call 132 500.


 

Stay informed

  • Download the VicEmergency App. The app aligns with the Vic Emergency website to provide a centralised location to access timely emergency information and warnings.

    The VicEmergency App is available for download from the Apps Store and Google Play.
  • Visit the Vic Emergency website or listen to 774 ABC (radio).
  • During emergencies, Victoria's emergency broadcasters will provide information, including updates and community alerts:
    • ABC Local Radio (774)
    • SkyNews TV
    • Community broadcasters
  • For updates on traffic conditions go to Vic Traffic.
