Recreation reserve master plans and facility development plans

Find your local recreation reserve master plan or facility development plan.

If a plan for the sporting reserve you are looking for is not on this list, please reach out to [email protected], and an officer will be in contact to discuss your enquiry.

Given the dynamic nature of sporting guidelines and standards, evolving community expectations and best practice recreational design, the contents of these plans may undergo changes over time.

Please note that not all reserves have established master plans or facility development plans.

Master plans

Master plans guide the future development of sport and recreation spaces and facilities.

They are active strategic documents that consider the aspirations, needs, and wants of local residents, user groups and stakeholders to produce a plan that enables greater function, participation and activation of a reserve.

Incorporated in the development phase of a master planning project is community engagement and the final stage of a master plan is Council endorsement.

Facility development plans

City led facility development plans provide sporting clubs and associations with evidence based and strategic justification to advocate and lobby for infrastructure funding for improvements.

A facility development plan is developed in partnership with the local users of a reserve and is not formally endorsed by Council.
