We are standardising our bin sizes to two options as rising costs put pressure on waste charges. Read more.
Our standard bin service includes a 240 litre green bin, 240 litre yellow bin and 120 litre red bin.
If you have a smaller 120 litre yellow or green bin, you can upsize to a 240 litre without charge.
You can also downsize your 240 litre bin to 120 litre if you prefer a smaller bin, for example if you live on a smaller property.
To upsize your red bin to a 240 litre bin or add a green or yellow bin please use the 'Add additional bin' form below. Fees will apply.

If you require more or larger bins than our standard waste service provides, you can apply for a larger service.
As a property owner or authorised agent, you can apply for
- a 240 litre red bin instead of the standard 120 litre red bin;
- and/or add an additional 240 litre yellow and/or green bin.
If you are a tenant, you will need to contact your property owner or authorised agent to apply on your behalf unless your request for an additional bin is for medical purposes.

You will need to pay upfront when you apply.
Fees are calculated per quarter based on how much of the financial year remains (see table below). Your next renewal (1 July each year) will then be put onto your property’s next rates notice.
For example, if you sign up for an additional yellow bin in October 2026, you will pay $111.30 for your first 9 months, and the next full year’s charge of $148.40 will appear on your subsequent rates notice in July 2027 unless you cancel.

Upfront fees are calculated based on whole quarters, and cannot be prorated.
We recommend you time your application with the next full quarter to avoid paying more than you are using.

Property owners or authorised agents can apply for additional or upsized bins.
If you are a tenant you will need to contact your property owner or authorised agent to apply on your behalf, unless your request for an additional bin is for medical purposes.
If you require an additional bin for medical needs, you do not need to be an owner or agent - anyone who is a resident at the property can apply. See the section on additional bins for medical needs below.
You can have:
- Up to two green 240 litre bins
- Up to two yellow 240 litre bins
- Up to one 240 litre red bin
We cannot give refunds for upfront payments of additional or upsized bins.
If you no longer require your bin, please call us to remove it to avoid any future renewal charges.
