Drysdale Landfill accepts small domestic quantities of engineered stone and engineered stone dust.

In order to comply with updated safety regulations all of the following procedures must be followed when disposing of engineered stone bench top off cuts and bagged dust waste at our facility:

1. Book in your load

• Call our office on 03 5251 2935 or email [email protected].
• When booking provide your name, vehicle registration, time and date expected and load contents/quantity.
• Provide at least 1-hour notice before your arrival to the landfill.
• Loads must be delivered to the landfill between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM, this will ensure landfill operators can prepare/manage waste safely.

2. Dust control

• It is crucial that engineered stone loads are adequately watered down 1 hour before arrival at the landfill. This helps prevent the dispersion of dust during transportation and unloading in our designated tipping site.
• Any loads that are found to have excessive dry dust that may become airborne will be recorded and possibly denied future entry to our site.

3. Before arrival: Engineered stone dust

• Each load must only contain bagged watered down dust, produced from the process of cutting or grinding of engineered stone products.
• Waste dust must be in closed bulk bags.
• Each load must be thoroughly watered down into the consistency of a spadable paste.
• Each load will be inspected by weighbridge staff upon arrival and tip face staff when tipping.

4. Before arrival: Engineered stone offcuts

• Each load must only contain offcuts of engineered stone product.
• No dust should be included in an offcut load. See instructions above for loads containing engineered stone dust.
• Engineered stone offcuts must be watered down prior to booked arrival at landfill.
• Each load will be inspected by weighbridge staff upon arrival and tip face staff when tipping.

5. Upon arrival

• Driver must announce engineered stone loads to weighbridge staff either face to face or UHF channel 31 upon arrival onsite.
• They must then communicate via UHF with landfill staff where the load must be tipped off.
