The Belmont Market is known as Geelong’s biggest garage sale with over 200 sites available for stallholders each weekend and a place where individuals gather to purchase and exchange both new and pre-loved items, as well as to enjoy family-friendly entertainment, socialise with friends, explore the creations of local makers and artists, share experiences, and foster community connections.

The market features a diverse range of products available every week, encompassing sought-after items including:

Common Questions

Pre-booking of equipment is essential.

Yes, we may have a limited amount of trestle tables, clothes racks and weights which may be hired on the day on a first come first served basis, subject to availability after 8:00am.

Please refer to fees and charges for the latest costs.

We encourage pre-booking equipment online to avoid disappointment.

Bookings are essential. 

Stallholders are encouraged to secure and complete payment for a site on a chosen market day by visiting the Belmont Market Casual Bookings system (note the online booking system will not accept bookings after 4:00pm on the Friday prior to the upcoming market).

If a stallholder arrives to the Belmont Market without a booking, they will be subject to approval by accepting our Terms and Conditions/ Conditions of Entry / Stallholder Code of Conduct. A site may be allocated, subject to availability, and at the discretion of the Belmont Market. There are no guarantees that the stallholder will be accepted into the Belmont Market and we recommend booking a site online to avoid disappointment.

Food vendors arriving to the Belmont Market without a booking or prior approval will not be accepted. Food vendors must contact the Belmont Market via email to [email protected] and enquire.

Yes, there are a number of items that are prohibited from sale. There are items which are considered inappropriate for sale at the Belmont Market due to them being either illegal or against the community nature of the market.

The following items are not to be sold at the Belmont Market:

  • cigarettes or any tobacco products
  • alcohol or associated products
  • firearms or explosives
  • weapons
  • pornography
  • pirated media (includes DVDs)
  • any product considered to be illegal or against the community nature of the market.

Any stallholder intending to sell goods which do not form any of the above listed items but which may be considered suspicious by market staff will be required to provide photo identification (such as a drivers license) for photocopy prior to any sales otherwise market staff may advise stallholders to leave the market immediately.

Stallholders wishing to sell food or beverage products will need to fill out a separate application which can be obtained by contacting the Operations Team via [email protected].

The Belmont Market Food Vendors Information Pack contains all the information food/beverage vendors need to be aware of and also key information/insurance required to apply for a food site at the market. This also covers information for fruit/veg vendors, etc.

Yes, we do have vehicle sites available where stallholders can park their car on their site although this then limits the amount of space to set up your items for sale.

Vehicle movement is strictly prohibited between the hours of 8:00am and 1:00pm.

Sites are approximately 2.4 metres wide by five metres long (approximate size of a car space).
