- Book online early - sites sell out weeks in advance. We recommend either searching a date in the future or continuing to monitor the booking system during the week for cancellations if the date you wish to attend has not available. Market dates are only available for booking four weeks in advance. Once the booking system is closed, you will not be able to make a booking. Booking closes at 4:00pm each Friday. Please read all information provided on these pages.
- 'Casual on the day' stallholder: You may wish to arrive without a booking on any market day - you must accept our terms and conditions / conditions of entry / stallholder code of conduct. A site will be allocated to you at the discretion of the Belmont Market. There are no guarantees that you will be accepted into the Belmont Market, and we recommend booking a site online to avoid disappointment.
- Food vendors arriving without a booking and prior approval will not be accepted: Any food vendor who wish to trade at the Belmont Market must contact the Belmont Market and enquire via email to [email protected]. Applications must be completed and approved before access to the Belmont Market is permitted. Applications may be denied at the discretion of the Belmont Market. Learn more on our Food and Beverage Vendors page.
- Bump-in/bump out hours:
- Bump in - strictly between 5:00am and 8:00am for stallholders, and vehicle movement will occur during this period.
- Bump-out - strictly from 1:00pm and no vehicle movement is permitted prior to 1:00pm.
- Safety is our priority during bump-in and bump-out. Please consider the safety of all stallholders, members of public, and staff prior to, and during bump-in/bump-out period.
- Trading hours for stallholders, and public entry to the venue is strictly between 8:00am and- 1:00pm: Please be advised that vehicle movement will be occurring during bump-in hours within the car park/stallholder site areas.
- Safety is our priority during bump-in, please consider the safety of all stallholders, members of public, and staff. We do not permit trading and members of the public should not enter the venue until the trading hours from 8:00am.
- Equipment hire: If a stallholder has not added equipment to their booking during checkout, they will not be able to hire equipment separately once they have completed a booking - so please ensure you add equipment during checkout when there is availability of equipment indicated at the time of booking. If you have missed out on hiring equipment, you may on the market day get in touch with our team members and enquire if any racks are available for re-hire. You may be placed on a waiting list, and a more accurate assessment of availability will be possible after 8:00am.
- Split bookings of sites and/or equipment: We do not permit requests to split bookings for sites and equipment. If a stallholder reserves multiple sites or equipment, they are not permitted to transfer unused sites or equipment to future dates. All sites and equipment booked are only valid for the specific dates for which they were reserved. The City grants a licence to stallholders to operate a stall at the market. Stallholders agree to adhere to its Terms and Conditions. Stallholders are not permitted to re-sell sites or equipment.
- Currently, we are NOT taking permanent stallholder applications. Certain requirements are to be met in order to be considered. One requirement includes a stallholder’s commitment to booking and a history of consecutive attendance as a casual stallholder, over a period of time. Other requirements are at the discretion of the Belmont Market. The Belmont Market and City of Greater Geelong are under no obligation to issue and grant a licence and sites to stallholders.
- Weather and other disruptions: Each stallholder acknowledges that inclement weather is a risk inherently associated with an outdoor Market. Stall fees will not be refunded if weather interferes with any market. This is also outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
- For more information: please refer to our terms and conditions / conditions of entry / stallholder code of conduct.
