The Belmont Market and the Barwon Valley Activity Centre (including on City of Greater of Greater Geelong premises) cannot be utilised, and sites are not permitted for booking for any type of:
- Political and/or advocacy campaigns and promotion
Sites will not be permitted for booking to individuals or groups wishing to promote a political message (including engaging in activities such as providing verbal, written or online information and/or handing out of materials) during any local, state or federal elections, upcoming referendums or otherwise (including for the purpose of passing a bill, public demonstrations, protests, letter writing, lobbying, use of media and the internet, legal action, messaging, and any organised set of communication). - Religious proselytizing and/or promotion
Sites will not be permitted for booking to individuals or groups wishing to conduct such activities (including providing verbal, written or online information and/or handing out of materials).
Individuals or groups identified as conducting in any of the activities listed above (but not limited to) - will be required to cease activities and vacate the site immediately. The Belmont Market and the City of Greater Geelong has discretion on what it considers inappropriate at the Belmont Market and/or against the community nature of the market and is not obliged to provide a reason for requesting any individuals or groups to cease activities and vacating sites.
A refund will not be provided for individuals or groups who complete a booking and are later denied by the Belmont Market and City of Greater Geelong to trade/conduct activities on the day.
