Add a new Community Directory listing

Can’t find your community organisation or group listed in the directory? Then complete a request for it to be included free of charge.

Before you start

We accept listings from a variety community groups.

The Community Directory does not generally include commercial business listings. Your entry may however be approved if you are an Arts and Culture business.


Add/update a listing

  1. Check to see if your organisation or group is already registered in the directory.
  2. If your organisation or group is already listed you don't need to add the details again however you might want to update your listing if any information is incorrect.
  3. If your organisation or group is not listed in the directory you will need a myGeelong account to create a listing. Login to myGeelong or register. Once you are in myGeelong you will be able to add a new listing or edit an existing listing.

Please note: all new entries must be approved by the City of Greater Geelong before they can be published. All entries are subject to the Community Directory registration terms and conditions.

What can be listed in the community directory?

We accept listings from:

  • community groups or not for profit organisations – Incorporated and Unincorporated    
  • charitable trusts/foundations    
  • schools or universities    
  • housing/tenancy organisations
  • community service organisations (for example: Community Health Centres, DHS, Disability Providers, Government Departments)
  • children’s service providers    
  • church and religious organisations    
  • community facilities    
  • Aboriginal organisations    
  • clubs (for example: sporting, recreational, senior citizens)    
  • community legal service providers    
  • parliamentarians    
  • local government departments    
  • local artists, groups, art and culture organisations.             

All listings in the community directory must be based in or have a branch in Geelong or surrounding municipalities or have regular meetings in Geelong or surrounding municipalities.

New listings are only permitted to be added by an authorised member of your organisation or group.

We verify and approve all entries before they are made available on the website.
