To celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 and 11 years of Impact, the City is proud to offer two EmpowerHER Leadership Scholarships to support emerging leaders in our community. These scholarships will fully fund participation in Leadership Victoria’s renowned Igniting Leadership Program, awarded through a competitive Expression of Interest (EOI) process.

The Igniting Leadership Program (Series 3) is an intensive five-day course commencing on 11 August 2026. Designed for emerging leaders, the program supports participants to discover their strengths, navigate challenges with confidence, and build the essential skills needed to lead meaningful change in their organisations and communities.

Expressions of interest were announced at the City’s Women in Community Life Celebration on 11 March 2026.

Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to full participation in the program, clear motivation and alignment with its purpose, and the ability to show how the knowledge and skills gained will benefit the local community. 

Selection will also consider community involvement and local connections, equity considerations, and references from employers, community groups or leaders.
