This year’s theme, ‘Capture the Wonders of Greater Geelong’, encourages people of all ages and abilities to capture the places, landscapes and moments that make the region special.

From rivers, parks, bushland and gardens to architecture, public art and streetscapes, there are so many ways to capture the beauty, charm and diversity of Greater Geelong.

This year I’d like to challenge residents to think outside the box with their submissions.

We want to see the places, landscapes and local treasures that you might not find on postcards, but that deserve to be celebrated.

We’re encouraging residents to get out and about and help us create a calendar that showcases every corner of our region.

Everyone sees Greater Geelong differently, and that’s what makes this competition so special.

Whether you’re a keen photographer or simply enjoy snapping photos on your smartphone, I encourage you to get involved.

Submissions are now open and will close on Friday 18 September.

The public will have the chance to vote for their favourite photos to feature on the cover and monthly pages of the 2027 calendar, which will be available for collection in December.

If you are unable to collect a calendar in-person, you can register to have a copy mailed to you.

Registrations close on Friday 13 November and residents can expect to receive a mailed copy in early December.
