Class 3 Food - Minimum Records
Class 3 warehouse/distribution food premises need to maintain minimum records as a condition of their food registration.

Under recent changes to the Food Act, the types of Class 3 businesses needing to keep minimum records was reviewed.
Now, only Class 3 warehouse/distribution food businesses are required to keep minimum records, and now only need to keep updated records of its food and drink suppliers.

These records need to be kept onsite at your food premise, and you must be able to show the previous 12 months' worth of records on request or at the time of inspection by your Health Officer.
If you are not sure of the class of your food business, you can refer to the Department of Health classification information or contact us.
